The distance to the coast is about 500km. Sisal plantations are along the road for miles and miles. When we reach the coast the small river has changed to wide stream we have cross with a ferry.

Our destination is "The
Tides", a small lodge right at the seaside.

As a welcome treet we
get fresh coconuts, not everyone's taste...

About six kilometers along the beach we reach Dick and Dolores' new property.

But we have to cross the little creek first
|
|
But then we set foot on the new land - Doloresland!
|
|
Because it is so hot and humid dinner will be served on the beach today!
|
|
For a couple of days we enjoy sun, beach and wonderful food, then we return to Ngurdoto. |
