The Vucciria is the Souk of Palermo.
The mountain village Monreale hosts with it's Norman cathedral a very interesting sight. Unfortunately on the way up here we have OUR Palermo experience. Rainer's purse gets stolen and we are up here without a penny. But the owner of the little trattoria is anxious about the reputation of Sicily and Palermoand gives us credit to transfer the amount of our bill. The espressi go on the house and we are friends again - the whole thing was due to our own stupidity anyway.
