Sibenik is located at the mouth of the
Krka River but not at the open sea. A canal cuts the landscape and creates
a big bay. Across the canal the city is built on terraces.
The medival old town full of corners is towered above from Mihovil Fort
from where you can view far in the country and out of the sea. The cathedral
St. Jakov is the outstanding buliding of the city. The construction
of the roof is a technical wonder considering the time of creation.
